Steven M. Hedberg

Steve Hedberg is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer for Aequitas Capital where he oversees business operations including legal, human resources, information technology, administration, facilities, marketing and fund operations. Mr. Hedberg has nearly 30 years of experience working with mid-size to Fortune 50 businesses, solving complex financial and operating challenges.

Prior to joining Aequitas, Mr. Hedberg was a partner and national chair of the insolvency practice at the law firm Perkins Coie LLP, where he both practiced law and managed business operations. In addition to his active legal practice, Mr. Hedberg served on the firm’s Management Committee, a group of five attorneys running the firm’s day-to-day operations, as well as its Executive Committee, whose members oversee the strategic growth of the 900-lawyer firm. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and as one of Oregon Law and Politics’ Top 50 Super Lawyers in Oregon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, and has been active in the Washington and Oregon State Bar Associations, receiving recognition for his work in bankruptcies and turnarounds. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hedberg was a partner in the law firm Miller, Nash, practicing in both Portland and Seattle.
